Kaitlin Chan (she/her) is a cartoonist and cultural worker based in Hong Kong. She is working on
a graphic memoir about how queerness and friendship expand our possibilities for being.
CULTURAL SIGNIFICANCE

Kaitlin’s work has appeared in The New Yorker online, The Margins, Popula , ArtAsiaPacific and
the Hong Kong Visual Arts Yearbook, amongst others.

In 2018, Kaitlin co founded Queer Reads Library, a mobile library centering queer perspectives in
diasporic communities. QRL has been exhibited in eight cities and described by Eye on Design as

From 2017 2019, Kaitlin was an assistant curator at Asia Society Hong Kong Center where Kaitlin
co curated A Story of Light: Hon Chi Fun and was the recipient of a 2019 2020 Mortimer Brandeis
Hays Traveling Fellowship that allowed her to research and live in Taipei.
