The North Face refers to the coldest and hardest side of a mountain. TNF was founded in 1966 near San Francisco. It was a small shop that offered climbing and hiking equipment and later also ski clothing. Over time, the company grew to considerable size and contributed significantly to the development of outdoor wear.
